Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about using TechEventsHQ to discover technology events.

What is TechEventsHQ?

TechEventsHQ is a public technology events intelligence platform. It helps engineering teams discover conferences, summits, and webinars from major vendors and communities — with filters, deadlines, organization pages, and analytics in one place.

Is TechEventsHQ free to use?

Yes. Browsing events, organizations, the dashboard, and calendar is free. Event registration itself happens on organizer websites and may have its own fees.

Do I need an account?

No account is required in the current version. The site is fully public — open any page and start exploring immediately.

Where does event data come from?

Events are curated from public organizer pages, reference sources, and manual seeding. We plan to add automated RSS and API ingestion over time. Always confirm dates and registration details on the official event page before booking travel or tickets.

What is the intelligence score?

The intelligence score is a signal (typically 50–99) indicating how relevant and high-impact an event is for engineering teams. It considers factors like organizer prominence, track focus, trending activity, and featured status — not a user rating.

What deadlines are tracked?

When available, we show registration, CFP (call for papers), and early-bird deadlines on event cards and detail pages. Use the dashboard’s upcoming deadlines view to see what’s closing soon across all events.

How do I register for an event?

Click Register on an event card or detail page. You’ll be taken to the organizer’s official registration site. TechEventsHQ does not process payments or registrations directly.

Can I submit or correct an event?

Use the Submit an event form to suggest a new listing. We review every submission before it goes live. For corrections to an existing listing, contact the site operator through the official website.

How often is data updated?

The public MVP is updated when new data is seeded or manually refreshed in the database. Automated periodic sync from external sources is on the roadmap. Check the event’s official source link for the latest information.

Does TechEventsHQ work on mobile?

Yes. The site is responsive and works in modern mobile browsers. There is no native app at this time — add the site to your home screen for quick access if you like.
